Every year, a variety of adoptable animals enter the doors of our county shelters with injuries or other medical needs. Due to medical costs, all of the innocent victims cannot be saved. The Sebastian Fund was established in the spring of 2003 to help save the lives of these deserving creatures. Sebastian is an actual living, breathing legacy. This sweet black cat came to the Santa Maria Shelter needing prompt medical treatment for a broken leg. With the assistance of Dr. Bertram of the Solvang Veterinary Clinic and dedicated volunteers, Sebastian is doing well and is honored to dedicate his name to our Foundations’ Medical Treatment Fund.
