Friend, Have you ever wanted to make a local difference that really counts? We ask you to support the Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation, Inc. and make an active difference in the lives of local homeless and abandoned animals in our community. We are working our tails off to assist Santa Barbara County to fulfill an important goal, to become a no-kill county for adoptable and rehabilitatable animals.
Our Foundation is one of
those rare all-volunteer 501 (c) 3 organizations, whose volunteer board of
directors roll up their sleeves and work along side our committee members,
so we can conserve every penny possible to benefit our county’s local
animals. Funds donated to our Foundation are not donations to the County
of Santa Barbara. We are a separate Foundation that was established to make a difference in the lives of the innocent homeless animals associated with our local county shelters. Our Foundation assists with the spay and neuter of feral cats, our Sebastian Medical Treatment Fund provides extensive medical funding for homeless animals in need of treatment or surgery, we provide funding for medical equipment and durable goods to directly benefit homeless animals in all three of our county shelters, we provide outreach to our community and adoption support, and we reach out to make a difference by providing educational programs to school age children through the HOPE Project (Humane Outreach through Progressive Education). We were instrumental in bridging the financial gap to make the Santa Maria Animal Center a reality . We are a busy group of dedicated people, and it is making a positive impact.
The Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation, Inc. is hosting the Sixth Annual Santa Barbara Fur Ball, a fun afternoon of surf and rescue to raise public awareness surrounding companion animals and obtain funds to assist these innocent creatures. We are entering kitten season, a time when our county shelters are inundated with precious balls of fur. With the assistance of foster homes, love and lots of formula these innocent babies can be saved. Your support will assist programs such as this one to directly benefit our local animals. You are invited to help change the lives of the homeless animals of Santa Barbara County by attending this fun event or making a donation. On behalf of all of the homeless, abandoned and neglected animals that are, have been or will be housed within the shelter doors, we beg you to become a part of our team and help save more innocent lives.
