Annually, when Spring/Easter comes around, many families think of purchasing acute little bunny as a gift for their child. Many of these bunnies end up homeless a few months later as these families find they do not have the time to care for a bunny. If you are planning to add a bunny to your family, please consider what your family will need to give as well as what it will receive. Children need assistance when learning the responsibility of caring for a pet. They may not be a consistent with the task and the need for daily care. Many parents set their expectations too high and become impatient. Remember once this skill is learned properly this is an investment that will carry a child into adulthood as a responsible citizen. Check out your local animal shelter to adopt a bunny. The $20 cost of the adoption includes spay or neuter, so you do not need to worry about any surprises.
